This week, we read the book: Feelings to Share from A to Z by Todd & Peggy Snow. Many times feelings can be overwhelming for children especially when they do not have the words to express how they are feeling. Being able to communicate our feelings and understand the feelings of others through situational and facial cues is essential for basic daily interactions and healthy friendships.
Before reading the book, each student reached into a box and pulled out a paper letter. Each student was responsible for brainstorming a feeling word that started with their letter and creating a face that matched the feeling. The artwork they created was impressive.
